It also had a white fretboard. This was an electric guitar not a steel guitar. Just wondered if anyone knew what it might be?||68.47.62.90||reg|| Z||000001||Steve Hinson||01-18-2006||08:25 PM||stevehinson@comcast.net||Was the guy tall and wearing a cowboy hat?If so,it was probably Mike Henderson...if so,there's no telling what it was...Mike has a bunch of those cheap guitars from the'60s-if it was him,it was a Del-Ray or something like that...

I did a little reading on the internet and noticed a lot of cheaper guitars from Italy and other countries that were sold through department stores that had a lot of buttons and decorations etc. They look really cool so why were they considered cheap guitars? Did they not sound as good as Fenders & Gibson's?||68.47.62.90||reg|| Z||000007||Papa Joe Pollick||01-19-2006||06:47 PM||jepollick@sbcglobal.net||A friend of mine bought a "new" one just lately.Don't remember the builders name or web site, but I think he's in Canada. He has a bunch of different modals,Many of them with a lot of push buttons. They ain't cheap either..I was not at all impressed with the one my friend bought.Oh well,To each etc. PJ||70.236.146.1||reg|| Z||000008||Dave Boothroyd||01-19-2006||11:53 PM||dave@gypseyrace.freeserve.co.uk||There was also the Vox Organ/Guitar that made electronic organ notes on a row of buttons above the strings.
Brian Jones of the Stones had one of those- it was the polygonal shaped one- usually white.

Most of the electrics sound really good, although I can't tell you anything about those push buttons, I've never really played one myself. A friend of mine owned a 70's Jimmy D'Aquisto model hollowbody which was a decent looking and sounding guitar, although Jimmy D'Aquisto himself wasn't happy with the way Hagstrom ended up producing guitars he designed for them.
There's an Italian guitar brand Maranello, which produces similar swanky pearloid electric guitars now ( no push buttons though ), our guitar player has one, it actually sounds pretty good. I believe though that they're made in Korea and not Italy. Here: http://www.italiaguitars.com/guitarDetail_outer.php

Hey Lee, you would love our beautiful country now, it's 23 celsius degrees below the freezing point and the wind is blowing all the way straight from Siberia
