Speaking of the late Owen Bradley, he DID produce Marsha's album. I really liked the song "A BOTTLE OF WINE AND PATSY CLINE" for the arrangement of it. Liked Marsha's singing, too. Haven't heard anything from her in some time. Anybody know anything?

Hey Dayna,
Wasn't she the one who had the country version of "Black Velvet" that Alanna Miles recorded? I really liked her singing. Also I liked the girl who used to be on Nashville Now a lot (Vicki Byrd) who sang great but when she talked sounded like a female Mike Snyder.

Dayna,
I worked w/ Marsha at Opryland Park,in the "Country Music,USA"show,& even a couple of shows on the road after she made it "big".
You're right,she is an excellent vocalist,but I have heard,through several sources,that she had a bit of an "attitude problem",thus killing her career.I have both her albums on MCA.

Jerry,
I don't remember who had the "country" version of "Black Velvet",but it certainly wasn't Marsha.

Robin Lee did Black Velvet. She used to go by Robin Beard which I believe is her real name. Her Father was a friend of Bill Stafford.

Smiley;
What is Marsha´s "attitude problem"? We are some people out here who can´t read between the lines for the simple reason that we don´t know american culture and language well enough to understand stuff that is self evident and obvious for you.
I met and interviewed Marsha in Malung, Sweden, some years ago, and listened to her performance, and I didn´t notice anything at all that could make me suspect any attitude problem from her. Could you please explain for us up in the northwestern Europe?

Good question. We all know the stories of certain actresses in Hollywood whose careers failed because the producers thought they had "an attitude problem" (and then there are the others, whose careers soared to new, undeserved, heights!)

From what I can gather,she seemed to be getting an "ego" problem amongst her peers. I,also,could detect a slight change in her attitude,from the Opryland days.If you're going to get an "ego",you'd best wait until you're fully established as an artist. Marsha was not quite,yet a "household word",as they say.(for example:Patsy Cline,Dottie West,etc.
