![]() Daryl Singletary is Traditional country through and through and a nice guy along with it. His steel player is Tim Lusby who is a great picker and a great person also. If you get a chance to see one of their shows, it's well worth it as they stick to their roots. |

![]() I have a couple of Singletary's tapes, and I agree. I especially like: I'm Living Up to Her Low Expectations There's a Cold Spell Moving In A Love that Never Died Would These Arms Be in Your Way? Cheers, |

![]() Mike - I used to live in Harrisburg. Lived in that area for about seven years . . . school, work, etc. I owe my old friend Gene Beaver in Equality a phone call. I'm guessing that you know him, and I hope all is well with him. If you haven't had the pleasure, then drop everything and go visit him now . . . great guy, good guitar, PSG, mandolin player. Nice shop. Rob |

![]() Rob, Gene is doing OK. My son plays in a band with him on occasions. I have to ask, what ever brought you to Harrisburg? NO ONE ever comes to Harrisburg, it's the end of the universe (with the exception of Pope County)! ![]() |

![]() Mike - I worked for TV-3 . . . not in the Uncle Briggs days, but later, in the Bonnie Wheeler days. Lived over the Pickford flower shop. Closed that station and moved back to C'dale to work the new station on route 13. Last visited H'burg in 1998: JOHNSON'S BARBECUE!!! Great news about Beaver, BTW. Thanks for getting back so quickly. I sent him a tape a few years back with Herb Remington, Herb Ellis, Willie Nelson, Johnny Gimble, et al doing "The Old Rugged Cross" . . . right up his alley, huh? He said it was the best version he'd ever heard. I bought my Twin Reverb from him, would love to get an old Sho-Bud through him sometime. Seems like it would just have a good "vibe" that way. Thanks again, and I'll keep my eyes out for your posts. Rob |
