To avoid hurting anyone's feelings LOL here is a new thread for my

Tab Reader's Guide To Standard Notation

This free downloadable .pdf book is meant to help all string players who read tablature to develop their ability to read standard notation on their instrument. The revised title is “THE GUITAR AND MANDOLIN TABLATURE READER’S GUIDE TO
STANDARD NOTATION.” The concepts can also be applied to 5 string banjo, steel guitar, bass, or any instrument.

Of course, pedal steel is one of the most difficult instruments upon which to "sight read", since we have so many different ways to play the same pitch, even without involving pedals or levers. However, gaining the ability to recognize the notes you are playing can be of great help in developing your sense of melody, chord voicings, etc.

I hope anyone who gets something from this book will pass it on and share it with others who might be interested in developing "note recognition" on their instruments.

And no, tab is not all bad
