I've had the extreme pleasure of sitting and playing next to Dale on several occaisons. Every note he played in my eyes and ears was a gift from heaven. I've never walked away from Dale without a smile on my face. Dale has touched many of us with his playing, May the good lord touch Dale and his family at this sad time.

Sad news indeed, just 2 wks. ago Dale was in Louisville...I got to trade some licks w/Dale at the "barn" where some of us jam on Sat. nites. Although Dale had visited us on several ocassions, one of my observations that nite was how professional he was....he wasn't rattled by anything, and really enjoyed playing.
The following Sunday, when he made an appearance at our club meeting
Chet Brummett, our VP, saw fit to get him up and play about an hour for us.
Everyone was thrilled with his playing.
My condolences and sympathy to Dale's family and close friends.

I have received an email from Joey Ace and he alerted me that I could have added the words, "add a reply" to my information I have been giving you about Dale Wagner and it would have made it easier for you to post a reply. I apologize as I wasn't aware of that "add a reply" button.

An update. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Friday, July 9th. The Funeral will be at 1:00 on Saturday, July 10th. The name of the funeral parlor is "Wilson Funeral Parlor" in Fredericktown, MO. No address was given. Scotty

No problem. You don't "add the words" you click on the "Add a Reply" button in the upper right.

Anothe tip is, whenever you, or anyone, add a reply, the entire post is bumped to the top.

I'm very sorry for your loss and Dale' loved ones.

I am so sorry to hear about Dale. He was the first steel player I ever saw in person. It was back in 1971 and he was playing with Jim and Jessie. I was two weeks away from buying a steel, and he took time to discuss my options with me and explain what to look for. He told me I needed 4 knee levers and charted them out.
I've been in touch with him through the net over the years.
We were looking forward to renewing our acquaintance at St. Louis this year.
He will be missed.

We'll surely miss him. I got to hang out a bit with Dale at a HOF Steel show that I worked. I also have enjoyed his playing for years in the Derby room at the ISGC. A professional and a gentleman in every way. And such a great "country" steel player. A true loss to the steel world.

My condolences to Dale's family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Dale to the Steel Guitar Family.
I met Dale several years ago at St Louis in the Derby Room.
This past year I was playing his Steel along with Buck & Lynn when Johnny Bush came into the room. It was the high light of my week.
He will be miss by many

I'd like to offer my condolences to Dale's friends and family. It was indeed an inspiration to hear him play. I will miss seeing him in St. Louis and Lexington. I'm glad he did not suffer long and was playing steel up until his heart attack.

Although I've not seen Dale in many years, I will always remember crossing his path anytime I was working with someone on the road and we played in the Cincinatti area. Dale was almost always with the hot local band and he always played so wonderfully. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.
