I just bought a Fender double 8 and don't have a clue how to tune it, can anyone help me?

Probably the most common tunings are C6/Am7 and E6/7. These are the two tunings I'd use, but I'm sure you'll get other responses.
Do a search on the archives of this same forum to see the many other topics just like this.
C6/Am7 (bass to treble):
A C E G A C E G
E6/7 (bass to treble):
B D E G# B C# E G#

Many more tunings here.

Hi Robert, I've got the C6 tuning (ACEGACEG) on one neck of my Stringmaster and it's great. I play swing, hawaiian, and some blues with it. The A6 (F#AC#EF#AC#E) is cool too played with same finger patterns as the C6 but It's got a lower pitch to it, very full and mellow soundin. What style of music do you want to play on it?

You'll get as many different answers to that question as there are players. Here are the tunings I use . .
