Membership Agreement,

Rules and Policies

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not post any material which is knowingly false, defamatory, libelous, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, racist or illegal.
You agree to use your real name (first and last name) when posting messages. Users with legacy "screen names" must sign their real name at the bottom of each message they post.
Use of the Classified Ads section to drive traffic to ads on other sites (e.g. EBay, Reverb, Craigslist, etc.) is subject to a 2.5% finders fee if the auctioned item is bought by a Forum member.
Resellers may not post discount retail prices for new merchandise in the Classified Ads section. Readers can be directed to call or email for a discount price instead. Prices may be posted for "used" merchandise. Manufacturers may post prices for their own products.
If you post music or other copyrighted material in this public forum, the liability is yours. The system operators will remove any postings at the request of a copyright holder if there appears to be a copyright violation. Lacking such a request, we assume that the person posting the material has secured permission to do so.
Messages express the views of their authors, not necessarily the views of the operators. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
We have a diverse, world-wide membership. People join the Steel Guitar Forum to learn about steel guitar, discuss steel guitar music, and to meet other steel guitarists. Political discussions would divide our membership. They would alienate people from different countries and people with opposing political views. For that reason, political topics are not allowed on this forum.
Messages in this forum are entered into the Public Domain when posted unless they are explicitly copyrighted by the writer. If you write something here that you wouldn't want to see in print elsewhere, you must attach a copyright notice to it.
We reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever, and to deny service to individuals that we deem disruptive.  Messages that are not in English or are in other ways unintelligible to the moderators may be closed without explanation.
The Steel Guitar Forum has existed since 1997, and we hope it will continue for a very long time. However, because life itself is unpredictable, we reserve the right to close this service temporarily or permanently at any time without prior notice.  No guarantee of continuity is expressed or implied.
